PH CONSULATE GENERAL IN SF PAYS TRIBUTE TO VULNERABLE SECTORS OF FILCOM DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN VIDEO

SAN FRANCISCO, 15 April 2020 – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco put together a video dedicated to the most vulnerable members of the Filipino American community, particularly the elderly and frontliners, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The video featured the original composition of Musical Director Mr. Abelardo Ingan, Jr., “Just Say the Word,” sang by Tourism Director Soleil Tropicales. Mr. Ingan has over 30 years of experience in teaching music, conducting choirs and orchestras, composing and arranging songs.

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, led by Consul General Henry S. Bensurto, Jr., aims to uplift the spirit of the most vulnerable, such as the senior members of Filipino American community in the Bay Area and in all states under the Consulate’s jurisdiction, and Filipino American frontliners.

“We hope that our elderly would stay strong and healthy amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and through the video, feel that they have a family and a community that think of them in these difficult times,” said Consul General Bensurto.
